How do I register for the UTMB?
Registration is done through the official website utmbmontblanc.com. You need to accumulate Running Stones by completing qualifying races in the 2 previous years, then enter a lottery draw.
What is the dropout rate on the UTMB?
The dropout rate varies between 30% and 50% depending on the year and weather conditions. The main dropout points are the high-altitude passes and the second night of racing.
What is the difference between UTMB, CCC and TDS?
The UTMB (171 km) is the full loop around Mont-Blanc. The CCC (101 km) covers the second half of the course. The TDS (149 km) takes wilder, more technical trails on the southern side.
